Our 80mm Rectangle Cap has a length of 80mm, a width 13.5mm, a thickness of 5mm and also has two 3mm countersunk holes. This holding magnet has a pull force of forty kilograms before releasing. (on a 3mm mild steel plate)
Customers can identify our 80mm Rectangle Cap with our stock code: CAPREC80
Uses for our 80mm Rectangle Cap:
Inside a rectangle, steel casing sits a mounted Neodymium magnet. This changes the magnetic field produced by the magnet and deflects the field to create a powerful single sided holding magnet.
As a result of our magnets being very powerful on one side when compared to a raw magnet and because of the hole going through the thickness of the pot, they can be used as an excellent holding tool. Retail businesses no longer have to use permanent fixtures that damage property.
Instead, our cap magnets attach to any magnetic surface and by using the conveniently placed hole, can hang a wide range of items from signage to managing electrical cabling. Best of all they are completely removable should you need to relocate them.
Abrasion from this magnet may affect contact surfaces and due to this, we do not recommend that you use these magnets on fragile or sensitive surfaces.
Neodymium cap magnets have a very high power to size ratio, even the smallest Neodymium magnets have a surprisingly large amount of pull. If subjected to temperatures of over 80°C Neodymium’s will start to permanently lose their magnetic properties. For high-temperature environments, we recommend the use of Samarium magnets.
We also have a large range of round Neodymium pot magnets should you need a greater pull force. For a list of all our rectangle caps please look below.

As a result of these being so powerful and wanting to attract to each other, we must warn you of some potential hazards.
- Magnets can be deadly if ingested, not recommended for children.
- Use eye protection while using our magnets because if two join with force they may break or shatter.
- Magnets can wipe magnetic media such as credit cards, keep magnets away from these to avoid data loss.
