Uses for our Wide Format Printable Receptive Sheeting:
This sheeting is a receptive sheet made of iron particles contained in a polymer matrix and is therefore not magnetic, here magnets will be attracted to the sheet. On one side there is a white printable surface and the other side a plain magnet receptive.
Our receptive sheeting is so easy to use, just use a handy pair of scissors or a Stanley knife to cut the strip down to size and apply to any ferrous surface. You can even put this magnetic sheeting through a guillotine to make a clean straight cut. Create your own magnets for the fridge, a reminder for your co-workers to fill the dishwasher or make a label to identify the product in the factory. Ensure you use a sharp blade to avoid tearing and keep in mind that because you are effectively cutting through iron that blades will start to go blunt quickly.
We do not advise that you use this on vehicles or other sensitive areas. This sheet will cause abrasion damage to such sensitive areas. As a result, we only recommend that you use our CARMAG product. This is due to the additional protective layer on the magnet to protect against abrasion.
Should you want a design printed on this media for application on a vehicle, head on over to signwriting.co.nz and look at what we can do for you!
This sheeting can be used in most wide format printers and the white surface can be directly printed. Ensure you allow time for your prints to dry.
As a result of these being so powerful and wanting to attract to each other, we must warn you of some potential hazards.
- Magnets can be deadly if ingested, not recommended for children.
- Use eye protection while using our magnets because if two join with force they may break or shatter.
- Magnets can wipe magnetic media such as credit cards, keep magnets away from these to avoid data loss.
- Take care when handling sheeting as edges can be very sharp if cut on an angle. Take extra care while handling newly cut sheets
