Description
Our 25mm x 8mm Neodymium pot has an outside diameter of 25mm, a thickness of 8mm, a 5.5mm hole and has a holding force of 14 kilograms before releasing. (on a 3mm mild steel plate). This product also comes with a steel countersunk keeper. This product also comes with a steel countersunk keeper.
Uses for our 25mm Neodymium Pot and Keeper:
Inside a round steel, casing sits a mounted Neodymium magnet. This changes the magnetic field produced by the magnet and deflects the field to create a powerful single-sided holding magnet.
As a result of these magnets being very powerful on one side when compared to a raw magnet, and because of the included steel keeper these magnets are ideal for creating closures such as in gates and cupboards.
As this magnet can cause abrasion, we do not recommend that you use these on fragile or sensitive surfaces. If you are wanting to use these in such areas we recommend the use of our rubber caps. These rubber caps sit over the pot magnet and protect both the magnet and the surface they are being applied to. For closures, this also muffles the sound when the pot and keeper come into contact making a more silent closure.
Please be aware that using a rubber cap will reduce the pull force of the pot magnet.
Neodymium pot magnets have a very high power to size ratio, even the smallest Neodymium magnets have a surprisingly large amount of pull. If subjected to temperatures of over 80°C Neodymium’s will start to permanently lose their magnetic properties.
As a result of these being so powerful and wanting to attract to each other, we must warn you of some potential hazards.
- Magnets can be deadly if ingested, not recommended for children.
- Use eye protection while using our magnets because if two join with force they may break or shatter.
- Magnets can wipe magnetic media such as credit cards, keep magnets away from these to avoid data loss.
