Used for products that are prone to caking and bridging
Our rotary grid magnetic separators (RGMS) are used in a variety of industries ranging from food and dairy to chemical and pharmeceuticals. They are primarily designed to extract ferromagnetic contamination from powder and granulated products that are prone to caking and bridging by utilising a rotating grid of magnetic rods.

The housing and casings are constructed from 316 stainless steel. The unit is able to be fully diasassembled quickly and efficiently, enabling personnel to undertake cleaning and maintenance with ease.

Each rod in the rotary separator houses high strength rare earth neodymium magnets, with the quantity of rods being able to be increased or reduced to meet client specifications. Our RGMS’ are available in three configurations:

1: Standard non dairy grade with a magnetic strength rating of 11000 – 12000 gauss per rod
2: Dairy grade with a magnetic strength rating of 10000 – 10500 gauss per rod
3: Dairy grade with easy-clean functionality allowing the 316 stainless steel casing to be removed from the magnetic rods, allowing easier cleaning of the rotor and removal of contaminant during maintenance.  With a magnetic strength rating of 8000 gauss per rod.

Depending on the pipeline/chute that the separator is being installed in, they can be delivered with a variety of round, square or custom flanges/connections.

Our rotary grid magnetic separators have a maximum operating temperature of 80°C though high temperature versions which can operate up to 350°C are available on request.

To ensure the accuracy and expediancy of our quote please include the following with your enquiry:

1: Inlet/Outlet sizes and connection requirements
2: Product type, product consistency, flow rates and operating temperatures
3: Any other custom requirement information e.g. unit size restrictions, additional housing features, rod requirements etc.
