An update for our customers on our response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

On behalf of the team at Magnets New Zealand, our thoughts are with the communities impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
As the situation continues to develop, we will continue to make our decisions with the wellbeing of our people, customers, and community in mind.

By now, almost everyone is aware of the rapidly evolving situation concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Every person arriving in New Zealand must self-isolate for 14 days. All of our staff are following this process and of course, will abide by any existing and future Ministry of Health requirements or guidelines.

We are closely monitoring the situation and are being guided by public health experts, we will implement changes to our operations where necessary.

At this time our showroom will continue to operate its normal business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5:00 pm.
For all orders (including website orders) please allow an additional 3-4 business days for processing and delivery.

Effective 17 March 2020, New Zealand Couriers will be introducing contactless deliveries for all parcels. Receivers will not be expected to handle/touch courier scanners or be required to ‘sign on glass’.
This means that no order will require a signature for delivery but instead will only require a name.

While there is a great deal of uncertainly currently, we pledge to continue making our decisions with the health, safety, and wellbeing of our customers, team members and communities as our highest priority.

UPDATE 26/03/2020

As New Zealand prepares to move into stage 4 of the COVID-19 alert system we are now making preparations to move completely to an online-only platform for orders and inquiries.

As we are not an essential business for day to day activities, our showroom will be closed effective Wednesday 25 March at 1pm and will remain closed until further notice. Phone support during this time will not be available. However, we will continue to assist customers by email only.

Due to the lockdown, order processing times and delivery times will be extended to 30 days. We will endeavour to work alongside our customers and business partners to find solutions to any orders placed for essential businesses during this time of crisis.

The decision to suspend operations was made with the safety of our employees, customers, and suppliers in mind.
We thank you for your understanding and hope to resume normal operations as soon as possible.
